Pride, lust, greed, these are the wounds of men nowadays that are deeply reflected in our culture. How do we heal? With the living out of Our Father's gifts of prayer, family, and work.
Foster Father of Jesus, Spouse of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Terror of Demons, Protector of Holy Church, Glorious Patriarch, Holy Guardian of the Redeemer, HEAR US!!!
Nothing, no obstacle can keep Our Father from us. He is impatiently waiting for us to return to his embrace. Get up! Run back to Daddy. Abba waits for you. What are you waiting for?
I am grateful that you gave me the Anointing. Without it, I would not be with Jesus now.
According to Pope Pius XII in Musicae Sacrae, "It is a priest's duty to preserve the precious treasure of Gregorian chant diligently and to impart it generously to the Christian people"
No one said that would be easy. Here is Fr Sam teaching Joseph and John Michael gregorian chant.
What is our moral life in Christ? To be living replica's of Jesus.
Our team taught these children this song before the blessed Sacrament. They come a few feet away from the Eucharistic Lord and prostrate their foreheads in the ground before him. They are asked what they are thankful for, what they want to pray for, what they want forgiveness for, and what or whom they want to consecrate to Jesus through Mary.
We all need a spark plug to ignite us, a boost to get us over the hump, consolation in suffering. We need to take the medicine of Jesus Crucified but without the spoonful of sugar that Our Lady provides the medicine is hard to swallow.
Enough silence already! You were silent because of cowardice not piety. Speak now to and about God. Break off your quiet fear and break into song. God is here.
Get ready, here they come. They're not Jehovah's witnesses, not vacuum salesmen, they are street corner Catholic missionaries being sent out to preach the Word of God and collect the straying sheep back to Jesus Christ.
What an amazing exchange. We give God our sins and he gives us grace, misery for mercy, loss for love, nothing for everything. All you have to do is abandon yourself to this love.
Why could Jesus promise that if you went to confession and mass nine first Friday's in a row that you wouldn't die without the last sacraments? It is because confession is very real repentance that deeply transforms and changes you unto eternity.
Give more than you get, understand more than your understood, forgive more than your forgiven. Sound impossible? If you are still stuck in the childish "love" of the world, but if you are truly a Christ-centered person you will grow and mature by the REAL LOVE that he calls you to. Love is demanding, but its demands are the very thing that are going to set you free.
Love is the soul of patience, without it your love will always be finicky and fickle and at the first sight of sacrifice you will squeal like a spoiled child unable to grow up in mature sacrificial love.
Jesus is the seed that grows in all sorts of conditions you bring to him, but why make it hard for him? Be humble, have a good heart with sincere soil of service, obedience, and docility. Be a respectful teen. No that is not an oxymoron, but you will be a moron if you don't get it.
Behold the Crucified One, behold the Sign of Jonah. Look for this sign and forget all the others.
Calling all deacons to kick your tendency to be spiritual proud and become humble as Jesus is humble. Strut like a peacock? No!!! Be like Our Lady in modesty and simplicity. It's not about me.
You wanna put it into high gear? You want to be a man? Grow up? Time to get serious by getting to imitate Our Lady.
